About Us

Responsive, responsible government. This citizen initiated recall petition gives Calgary-North a clear, democratic voice to defend this right.

Why this petition?

Newcomers, cultural organizations, and families are being left without adequate support, while Minister Yaseen fails to engage, consult, or invest in programs that promote real inclusion and opportunity. Meanwhile, teachers, students, and families in his own Calgary-North riding continue to struggle with overcrowded classrooms and underfunded schools.

About

“Muhammad Yaseen, MLA for Calgary-North, should be recalled for failing to represent and respond to the concerns of his constituents. Despite repeated outreach from community members, Yaseen has remained unresponsive and disengaged. His vote in favor of Bill 2, which used the notwithstanding clause to force teachers back to work, shows a disregard for workers’ rights, collective bargaining, and public education. His actions demonstrate a lack of accountability and commitment to the people he was elected to serve. Calgary-North deserves an MLA who listens, stands up for democratic principles, and supports quality public education.”

—Siobhan Cooksley, Stephen West, and Ryan Jones, concerned teachers, Calgary-North residents

A strong result — 9,503+ Calgary-North residents signing — sends Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister, Muhammad Yaseen packing, forcing a by-election in Calgary-North.

Why stop there?
